ROUNDS
PRIVATE INTERVIEW
This is your opportunity for the judges to get to know you, to find out more about your preparations and community work in the lead-up to the competition, and to understand what it is you would bring to the table as our next Miss Culture United Kingdom. We ask all our contestants to introduce themselves to the judges both in English, and in a second language of their choice - this is a very short introduction, simply stating their name, age and their heritage.
Private Interview is worth 20% of the contestants’ overall score.
OPENING NUMBER
The opening number will be a gold or pink dress, provided by Miss Culture United Kingdom. Contestants will open the grand final with a fun choreographed dance, and will introduce themselves on stage to the audience.
The Opening Number is not scored.
SPORTSWEAR
At Miss Culture United Kingdom, we have a sportswear round rather than swimwear, in line with the international competition. During this round, contestants will wear active wear in pink. This is a fun, energetic round, and contestants will be judged on figure, form and performance. We want to see our contestants having fun on stage and exuding confidence.
Sportswear is worth 20% of the contestants’ overall score.
HERITAGE COSTUME
With culture and heritage being at the heart of our ethos, we want to give our contestants the opportunity to express this on our national stage. Think of the heritage costume as a fusion of national costume, fashion and evening gown - it is an opportunity for contestants to showcase their own heritage and culture, bringing different backgrounds together on one stage, demonstrating the diversity of the United Kingdom.
Heritage Costume is worth 20% of the contestants’ overall score.
EVENING GOWN
The final round will be Evening Gown, a firm favourite among pageant contestants. Our finalists will parade in an evening gown of any colour and style of their choice, this must be floor-length and must be a dress rather than a two-piece outfit.

ON STAGE INTERVIEW
After the Evening Gown round has concluded, we will break for a short interval while the scores are counted. When we return, our side awards will be handed out and we will announce the Top 5. Those contestants will each be asked a question by our panel of judges.
The scores from the On Stage Interviews will be added to the contestants’ previous total scores.
